The current leadership of KDHX has failed to live up to the concept of 'community' in 'community radio.'
Recent conflicts have shed light on the leadership's inability to adequately hear, respond and address the concerns of both volunteers, donors, and loyal listeners.
By being on this list, you agree leadership has failed and not served the ideals of KDHX these past few years. Bylaws have been changed to allow management 'A No Questions Allowed' style of operation.
We expect management to honestly address their failures and duplicity.
We expect volunteer involvement, organizational transparency, and a less corporate, authoritarian approach to a local non-profit, that is not a Fortune 500 company.
If management and the Board of Directors are unable or unwilling to change behaviors that has brought public/media outcry, then they need to move aside, making room for leadership that will.
When KDHX started broadcasting in 1987, there was a commitment to supporting and promoting our city's musical heritage, especially its history as one of the World's Foundation Blues Music Cities. In 2017, The Radio Hall of Fame recognized 'The KDHX Blues Boys' - ART DWYER, RON EDWARDS, DENNY CLANCY, JOHN McHENRY, & TOM 'PAPA' RAY for championing not only St. Louis' rich history and legacy in The Blues, but its continuing existence in our town.
From the historical perspective given by Ron Edwards, to showcasing contemporary St. Louis artists - KDHX BECAME THE FOREMOST STATION IN THE MIDWEST FOR BLUES PROGRAMMING.
Along with Denny Clancy, John's popular Thursday Drive-Time Show Blursday was enjoyed by thousands of listeners, and was one of the top 5 shows in raising donations for KDHX.
After nearly a month of no acknowledgement by management of his passing, Tom Ray in an email, took Kelly Wells to task for making no effort to honor his legacy. Her reply did not in any way admit failure on her part. In an example of "Corporate Bait & Switch," she demanded Tom to submit to a zoom meeting with a neutral facilitator for what Wells described as "CONFLICT RESOLUTION PROCESS". Tom's reply was, "Kelly, there is no need for a 3rd Party to be involved---DO YOUR JOB".
At the same time, Tom 'Papa' Ray also brought up failures by Wells of having NO volunteer presence at music events promoted by KDHX - as had been standard procedure in the past to enhance station outreach to potential new listeners.

A community group to organize & protest the publicized & documented mistreatment by Community Radio Station KDHX 88.1 Leadership, so to protest the mistreatment of the DJs, Employees, & affected Community.
This group is a collaborative space for the community to amplify the voices of those immediately affected & endorse calls to action by the DJs, striking DJs, former DJ’s & former Employees, Associates of KDHX, as well as those directly experiencing retaliation by Leadership.

Find out what's going on with our organization. A list of upcoming events where we connect with the community. And a couple terrific interviews: one with a St. Louis musician Dan C. Roth, who participated in the Save KDHX - The Album project and exiled veteran KDHX DJ, Roy Kasten. Check it out!
Thanks to the generosity of too many volunteers to count at SAVE KDHX, we now have this QR code that will let you know about upcoming events. A huge thank you to Kevin Crouse!
P.S. - Due to a huge demand - an on-line Save KDHX 'store' will be up and running soon.

This is a fundraiser for the League Of Volunteer Enthusiasts (L.O.V.E KDHX). We are pursuing funds to support KDHX volunteers working to save KDHX and move it forward to the Community Radio it should be.
We want and need the financial support of the community in this endeavor.
Redemocratize KDHXPower at KDHX has become concentrated among two individuals — the executive director and the president of the board of directors. We seek to restore power to the Associate and Annual Members.
Install Competent, Capable LeadershipFor too long KDHX has suffered under the leadership of an executive director with no experience in leading an organization much less managing a unique community asset such as KDHX.
Get Back To Serving The Mission Of The OrganizationThe mission of KDHX is “To Build Community Through Media.” We seek to restore the station to the community and bring back the dedicated volunteers who are the heart and soul of KDHX.
Restore Veteran DJs To The AirwavesBring back beloved shows from DJs, and all volunteers that were either dismissed or went on strike in solidarity.
We have engaged legal assistance from the law firm of Stinson LLP. A suit was filed on November 15 and seeks to enforce the September 26, 2023 election results for three candidates to the board of directors: Courtney Dowdall, Darian Wigfall, and Kip Loui.
We are considering additional actions, and we will need to retain counsel to pursue these actions. Your financial support will make our efforts possible.
Our primary goal is to restore KDHX to the community. If we succeed any surplus funds collected will be donated to KDHX. If we do not succeed surplus funds collected will be used to start a new station or donated to other community radio stations.

We are all KDHX.
December 6th, 2023by League Of Volunteer Enthusiasts, OrganizerAfter 1 week (OK 8 days but some of our people learned about weeks from The Beatles) our campaign continues. We have raised $11,267 on line from 116 people. Thank you all so much.
A hump day influx from fans of Bittersweet Melody, Feel Like Going Home, Uncontrollable Urge, Hip City, The Big Bang would put a smile on those faces.
